        Pada umumnya, proses recruitment sebuah hotel akan posisi apapun memerlukan tahap interview agar recruiter mendapatkan gambaran tentang kemampuan kandidat dalam bekerja nantinya.
        Penting untuk tampil sebaik - baiknya dalam tahap interview meskipun interview bukanlah faktor penentu dan satu - satunya yang akan menentukan diterima tidaknya kandidat.
        Dari pengalaman saya meng - interview ratusan kandidat untuk posisi Room Boy, 60 % diantaranya GAGAL menjawab pertanyaan untuk menyebutkan "Cleaning Sequences / Step By Step Make Up Room" meskipun yang saya minta hanya menyebutkan sebagian saja yang penting urut. Bahkan kegagalan ini terjadi pada mereka yang sudah mempunyai pengalaman / experience baik sebagi staff room boy, casual / daily worker, maupun pengalaman training / apprentice. Kandidat sering kali kesulitan menjelaskan pekerjaan yang sebenarnya sudah mereka kerjakan setiap hari.

Cleaning Sequences

Step by Step Make Up Room:

      Knock the door and identify your self. (3 times and 3 times knocks with 10 seconds space between).

Ø  Ketuk pintu dan perkenalkan diri anda 3 x ketukan sebanyak 3 x dengan interval waktu 10 detik.

      Enter the room slowly and greet the guest. (it doesn’t matter if there are no guest inside).

Ø  Masuki kamar secara perlahan dan sapalah tamu (tidak tergantung apakah ada tamu di dalam atau tidak).

      Open the curtain. (Day curtain / vitrage and night curtain / black out).

Ø  Buka curtain (day curtain / vitrage dan night curtain / black out).

      Report Position.

Ø  Lapor posisi.

      Turn off the lights and turn the television to stand by position.

Ø  Matikan semua lampu dan stand by kan posisi remote tv

      Identify everything that belonging to the guest such as cell phone and note book. (For the occupied room).

Ø  Kenali semua barang-barang tamu yang ada di dalam kamar seperti; hp dan laptop (untuk kamar occupied).

      Check the mini bar and hotel property and report to the Order Taker in case of consume, broke, or lost.

Ø  Check mini bar dan properti hotel dan melaporkannya ke Order Taker apabila ada consume, kerusakan, atau kehilangan.

      Stripping the bed and bath room.

Ø  Stripping bed dan kamar mandi.

      Put all the glasses to the washbasin.

Ø  Taruh semua gelas ke dalam washbashin.

      Pour chemical to the toilet bowl and bath tub surface and let it react.

Ø  Tuang secara merata chemical ke dalam toilet bowl dan permukaan bath tub (apabila ada) dan biarkan bereaksi.

      Make up the bed properly.

Ø  Making bed dengan baik dan benar.

      Wash, clean and dry all of the glasses.

Ø  Cuci, bersihkan, dan keringkan semua gelas.

      Scrub, wash and dry the vanity counter.

Ø  Gosok, cuci dan keringkan vanity counter.

      Scrub, wash and dry the bath tub.(wash, squeeze, & and dry shower room glass).

Ø  Gosok, cuci dan keringkan bath tub (cuci, squeeze, dan keringkan kaca shower room).

      Scrub, clean and dry the entire toilet surface. (Toilet tank, toilet cover, toilet seat, toilet bowl, and area behind toilet bowl).

Ø  Gosok, bersihkan dan keringkan seluruh permukaan toilet. (toilet tank, toilet cover, toilet seat, toilet bowl dan area belakang toilet.

      Dusting all of the furniture by clockwise or anti clockwise from top to down surface.

Ø  Mengelap semua furniture searah jarum jam atau berlawanan arah jarum jam.

      Refill the guest supplies and room amenities.

Ø  Mengisi kembali guest supplies dan room amenities yang terpakai tamu.

      Change the towels. (Occupied rooms: change the towels that putted in the bath tub or on the floor and leave “make it tidy” the others).

Ø  Mengganti handuk (kamar occ : ganti towel yang ditaruh di bath tub atau lantai dan tinggalkan “rapikan” yang lainnya.

      Clean the room floor. (By vacuum cleaner / lobby duster / broom).

Ø  Bersihkan lantai kamar (dengan vacuum cleaner / lobby duster / sapu).

      Mop the floor (only for the parquette or marble or tile floor).

Ø  Pel lantai (hanya untuk lantai parquette atau marble atau keramik).

      Make the final checking and make sure that everything is done perfectly.

Ø  Buat cek akhir dan pastikan bahwa segala sesuatu telah selesai dengan sempurna.

      Clean the front of the door area.

Ø  Bersihkan area depan pintu kamar.

      Close the door properly.

Ø  Tutup pintu dan pastikan bahwa pintu sudah terkunci dengan benar.

      Proses Bed Room dan Bath Room bisa dibalik untuk Occupied Room atau sesuai permintaan tamu
